WHAT A GREAT YEAR TO END THE DECADE!

The Virtual Forge turns 10 in 2020, so to celebrate here are 10 of our highlights from 2019.

WE STARTED CONVERSATIONS

In 2019 we launched our #vfdataseries and #vfdesignseries events. We held six successful and fully booked events at The Shard and The White Collar Factory in London, The Pyramid Club in Philadelphia, and an exclusive high-end venue in New York City. Our events focused on prominent topics in the technology space - ranging from security, product design, digital transformation, data intelligence and electric vehicles.

Our events featured brilliant speakers from organisations such as Google, Adobe and BNP Paribas and were each attended by 25 tech industry leaders.

WE DID WHAT WE DO BEST

In 2019, we delivered ROI to our customers and got them the results they needed. We delivered solutions to a vast range of customers in multiple industries such as the automotive, pharmaceutical, and legal spaces.

WE TURNED DATA INTO DOING

In Q4 of 2019, we officially became a partner of Splunk! We are thrilled to start off 2020 partnered with the Data-to-Everything Platform. Becoming a partner of Splunk is an exciting new service offering for us, as Splunk is a tool that can be used for security, business analytics, and application delivery.

WE WENT TO PRINT

In 2019, we shared our knowledge and released white papers for the first time. We released five white papers this year on electric vehicles, data cleansing, and Power BI and its many applications. We're always happy to share a copy and we saw quite a demand for them!

WE HIT THE ROAD

We marked off more places on the map than ever in 2019. In addition to our growing number of offices in London, Bath, Warwick, and Wokingham in the UK, Lisbon in Portugal, and Philadelphia in the US, we have VF'ers also working in Dubai, UAE.

Last year we served 32 different customers across the world, in locations ranging from Cologne, to Rome, East Shanghai, Amsterdam and more.

WE GOT THE CAMERAS ROLLING

We made some pretty great video content in 2019. We produced our first (un) Corporate Video and several other excellent videos - like our event interviews and VF Blog Talks.

WE GREW OUR FAMILY

We grew by over 25% by adding 24 new and exceptional VF'ers to our team in all of our global locations. We're excited to see what we accomplish together in 2020!

WE MADE MOVES

We opened a new UK office in Wokingham and moved to an even bigger office at the Glove Factory in Bath.

WE GAVE BACK

One of the most important things to The Virtual Forge is holding up our commitment to our community. We've run charity drives out of our offices for food, clothing, and we released our blog post "The Common Thread", reflecting on our goal to become a B Corporation and how we stay focused on our values.

WE HAD A LOT OF FUN

One constant at The Virtual Forge no matter what year it is, we're still having a blast. Every year in our global offices, we celebrate Halloween, Christmas, and even our own internal holidays like our very own Chocolate Day and VF Love Day. We know that the company that plays together, stays together, and we're excited to become a stronger team in 2020.
